Sunrise on the Farm

"Sunrise on the Farm" captures the essence of an especially brilliant sunrise witnessed from my front porch in the mountains. The first sun rays brilliantly illuminated the mist on the mountains across the valley, while closer field and trees still lay in purple shadow. It was an awesome, but fleeting moment that demanded to be captured. You may not live and breathe the painting like the mountain air in those brief seconds, but it does last longer to keep it alive in your mind.
